Arid Recovery
As part of our Working in Harmony program, Design Experts have partnered with Arid Recovery, an ecosystem restoration initiative based in the South Australian outback and dedicated to the restoration of Australia’s arid lands.
Established in 1997, the program is centred around a 123km² fenced reserve. Feral cats, rabbits and foxes have been eradicated from a total of 60km² and this has provided an area of complete protection into which four species of locally extinct mammals have so far been reintroduced.
As part of our commitment, we constructed a website that is designed to educate the public, assist school projects, attract volunteers and donations and facilitate online donation. The email newsletter, blog and photo galleries add to the websites appeal.
As the remote team rotates their duties out at Roxby, it has become evident that the team take the time and pride to hand over the website updating duties to their predecessor. Design Experts Managing Director, Tim Gentle headed out to Arid Recovery as part of the project – read more
